
Davitt Awards 2025
Sisters in Crime has announced the shortlists for the 2025 Davitt Awards for the best crime books by Australian women.
The shortlisted titles in each category are:
Adult novels
- Highway 13 (Fiona McFarlane, A&U) *
- The Rewilding (Donna M Cameron, Transit Lounge) *
- Safe Haven (Shankari Chandran, Ultimo Press)
- To the River (Vikki Wakefield, Text)
- What I Would Do to You (Georgia Harper, Vintage)
Nonfiction books
- Crimes of the Cross (Anne Manne, Black Inc.) *
- In Bad Faith: Inside a Secret Ultra-Orthodox Sect and the Brutal Betrayal It Tried to Hide (Dassi Erlich, Hachette)
- The Lasting Harm: Witnessing the Trial of Ghislaine Maxwell (Lucia Osborne-Crowley, A&U)
Winners of the four category awards – along with recipients of additional awards for best debut and the readers’ choice award – will be announced at a gala dinner on 5 September in Melbourne.
