More Award News for 2024
The longlist for the 2024 Mark and Evette Moran Nib Literary Award, worth $40,000, has been announced.
Included in the shortlists are –
- Crimes of the Cross: The Anglican paedophile network of Newcastle, its protectors and the man who fought for justice (Anne Manne, Black Inc.)
- Alice TM The Biggest Untold Story in the History of Money (Stuart Kells, Melbourne University Press)

A shortlist will be announced on 17 September, with each of the six finalists to receive the $1500 Alex Buzo Shortlist Prize. Winners of the Nib People’s Choice Prize ($4000) and the overall Mark and Evette Moran Nib Literary Award ($40,000) will then be announced on 27 November.

The State Library of NSW (SLNSW) has announced the shortlists for the 2024 NSW Premier’s History Awards.
Included in the shortlists are –
- Courting: An intimate history of love and the law (Alecia Simmonds, La Trobe University Press)
- Flawed Hero: Truth, lies and war crimes (Chris Masters, A&U)
