The Australian Crime Writers Association has announced the 2024 Ned Kelly Awards shortlists.
The shortlisted works in two of the categories are:
Best crime fiction

- Ripper (Shelley Burr, Hachette)
- Dark Corners (Megan Goldin, Michael Joseph)
- The Seven (Chris Hammer, A&U)
- The Tea Ladies (Amanda Hampson, Penguin)
- Darling Girls (Sally Hepworth, Macmillan)
- Dark Mode (Ashley Kalagian Blunt, Ultimo)
- Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect (Benjamin Stevenson, Michael Joseph)
Best international crime fiction
- Dice (Claire Baylis, A&U)
- The Only Suspect (Louise Candlish, S&S)
- Birnam Wood (Eleanor Catton, Granta)
- Resurrection Walk (Michael Connelly, A&U)
- The Search Party (Hannah Richell, S&S)
- Zero Days (Ruth Ware, S&S).

The Ned Kelly Awards have been running since 1995, making them Australia’s oldest crime fiction and true crime awards.
The 2024 winners will be announced in September.
